basically i am the vp of tiny numbers and the vp of the vp of tiny numbers (my manager) had to correct one of my tiny numbers that i got from my coworker. coworker frequently gets his tiny numbers wrong and i have spoken to my vp in the past about just taking over coworker's tiny number duties because he is not 100% or even 85%. i have gotten pushback. told it would be too complicated to grant me access to these sacred tiny numbers. anyway portfolio manager comes over today says hey fp your tiny number is wrong, why? i say it's a coworker tiny number. he says ok. my vp then says that in order to prevent this, i must be more curious about my coworker's tiny numbers. which i have been before, but, as said, "too complicated" for me to know any more. so i ended the day being gaslit by my vp. now i know to just throw coworker under the bus until i get control of the sacred tiny numbers
