i dont think this debunks what i mean. you can just read on daft punk subreddit or something (maybe just google daft punk alive 2007 pre-recorded)
basically what i mean is that its kinda playing around and changing some remixes/version
people have an idea that its them straight up taking the songs like we know from the album and completely reinventing them and doing it all on the spot and DJing. feel like its more like them taking remixes/mashups they were already making then triggering a bunch of cool stuff on top of it live performing some planned bits too
its also partly just to make a great show and also combine with a visual element
like i said im not trying to detract from it but its not some mindblowing live improv deconstruction to me. just fire ass reimagining of their songs, cool live stuff added, and a huge visual aspect that i wish i could have experienced. but this is part of reason its not ranking for me as a pure live music performance along with other great live albums, its kinda its own thing
oh no yeah i moreso meant the live aspect of it, like of course they were still triggering the effects we remember the most like the low pass filter and doubling the echos
it should be obvious by now that the actual mixes were created before hand and practiced (think lip-syncing)

Daft Punk was my first favorite artist ever as a kid but I never listened to Alive 1997 all the way back then somehow. Listened to Alive 2007 probably a thousand times though

It’s just too f***ing polished and clean. Like it’s impressive asl they really used the “perfect” take of everything but it makes it too sterile especially as my tastes have grown
I loved it when it came out tho
