i get where et coming from but by using the word in a derogatory way even towards someone it doesnt necessarily apply to, by using it in that way you still validating its meaning (ie. homophobic)

Cause it became a slang term that people threw at their friends all the time without any homophobic intent behind it. And he considers himself ace now apparently so he thinks that validates him being able to say it. He’s clearly not saying it because he hates LGBTQ people, I think you can agree on that.

Like if you say Ed to your friend, it doesn’t mean you hate people with mental disabilities. It’s just a different context of use.
