The Planner / Verzuz Thread begins in late 2022 as a serious project: a few idealists—back 2 black, Mmm Hmm, Vibe—try to run organized mock Verzuz battles with spreadsheets, rules, and scoring rubrics. Around them gathers a small troupe—Allison Wanderland/XO, Extraterrestrial, Kdogone, Bruises, Nort—who bring tone and humor. Early on it’s part workshop, part group chat; emojis and stickers become punctuation, and “cook,” “ratio,” and “ban” jokes dissolve the boundary between planning and play.

Through early 2023 the tension between Planners and Derailers defines the mood. One side wants structure; the other wants laughter. Arguments about “ruining the thread” last a few posts before everyone collapses into shared irony. The fights become bonding rituals—the thread’s first culture.

By mid-2023 roles are fixed. Planners chase order, the Chaos Choir—now led by Outer Spice / KodakSpice—treats disorder as an art form, and Lorekeepers like Allison and ET record the chaos. Then comes the FE!N Era, a multi-day eruption of “FE!N!!!” posts and sticker storms that turns the thread into a communal performance. Participation, not content, becomes the point. After that everything the group does carries a wink: they know they’re playing a character version of themselves.

Late 2023 becomes reflective. People reminisce, tease absentees, and mythologize the gone—especially Allison, whose silence gains emotional weight. Holiday tag-storms (“merry Christmas @​everyone”) fuse absurdity with genuine affection. The rhythm—build, derail, forgive, repeat—becomes muscle memory.

Winter 2024 births the Gremlins Ensemble: Like a Camille, MIXTAPEHNDRXXFREE, BIG live laugh luv, COWBOY ARTIST, WESLEYS POWER, im almost there, anchored by Outer Spice. Their weapon is punctuation—rows of “?!?!?!!” and sticker carpets of duckhah and timocry. Mmm Hmm still tries to run actual cards, but the chaos is now the main event. The tone is affectionate anarchy.

By spring 2024 the thread behaves like a seasoned sitcom. Everyone knows their cue: Planners line up a matchup, Gremlins blow it up, then someone sneaks in a good card that wins real praise before the next storm. Meta-games appear—“negativity index,” “most replied post,” “who gets the most attention from women.” Stickers have replaced grammar; punctuation is percussion. “This thread is dead” posts are instantly followed by the same user posting again.

Through summer and fall 2024 the cast hits its stride. Outer Spice conducts tempo, Camille and Bruises deliver spectacle, COWBOY ARTIST and Purrp bridge music talk and lore, bmass and Tuneout keep the day shift alive, and Mmm Hmm quietly maintains rails. “Are we still doing Verzuz?” becomes both joke and identity. Mentions of Allison still hush the noise for one beat before the laughter resumes.

Then comes 2025, and the culture folds back on itself. The community starts a***yzing its own chaos: building metrics, “negativity indices,” post-volume graphs, and faux-sociology. What began as parody turns into collective self-study. They argue over who spends the most hours in-thread, who’s most liked, who would win a fake personality contest. Every stat is nonsense and yet strangely accurate. The humor is meta-textual: the thread observing itself like a lab experiment it can’t stop participating in.

Through spring and summer 2025, the personalities crystallize into icons. Outer Spice is the cultural engine, keeping the beat alive. Like a Camille is performance art—half diva, half comedian. Bruises perfects chaotic timing: able to derail or resurrect a page with one line. COWBOY ARTIST becomes historian, interpreting lore while joking about it. bmass, Tuneout, and Nort serve as connective tissue. Purrp oscillates between sharp music takes and total absurdity. Mmm Hmm is still the quiet showrunner ensuring continuity.

By September 2025, the thread has reached full mythological maturity. Entire joke lineages exist; stickers function like dialects; data a***ysis and nonsense coexist seamlessly. The crowd now runs elaborate in-thread “studies” on themselves—ranking friendliness, charting alliances, mapping beefs that barely exist. The humor is recursive: a group of friends turning their own internet behavior into the story. Even the a***ytics have become lore, each “stat” spawning new memes.

Across nearly three years and seventy-plus-thousand pages, the Planner Thread evolves from a sincere organizational exercise into a living social organism—equal parts improv troupe, data experiment, and family chat. It has weathered eras of planning, chaos, nostalgia, and self-reflection without losing its core cast. By late 2025, the premise is irrelevant; the people and their rituals are the show. Planning was only ever the excuse—the real project is sustaining a friendship that expresses itself in infinite noise
