oh?
The main issues I’ve been having with them is a muscle imbalance between my delts, and that my traps sorta take over because they’re decently developed.
Form and posture are important to mitigate this during shoulder presses
You should be failing them if you’re just going for growth
And you can always have target days for muscle groups you feel are lacking until they catch up
hndrxx said something how he fails on each set

Yeah, Ive been toying around with all angles, grips, placements etc etc for the cable raises. Whatever I can to lessen my traps involvement.

Yep
He is still questioning failure
The fear of failure is why many don’t find success

If u only reach failure (or near failure) last set that means
All past sets werent worth anything or very little aka cardio if we talk about muscle growth

i generally do 3x8 or 4x8 on most exercises
and im controlling the negative slowly for added tension

so are you dropping reps with every set then?

@nort next session, after u finish a set, rest 15-20 seconds and try to do it again with the same weight
If u can do more than 4 that means u left a lot in the tank and should have done more reps/up weight
Its called a rest pause, its a good technique to know if u are really going all in (dont do it every set do)

With the same weight everytime right?

It’s more important that you’re failing in that range or not leaving reps in reserve since you’re doing lower volume

Damn we tellin him
The same thing
so are you dropping reps with every set then?
For the most part yeah
Or even drop weight if I only reach 8-9 reps on a set
Progressive overload

screenshotted and will try tomorrow for leg day
typically it feels like im stopping at 1-2 reps before failure

Yup @nort sometimes u can blast em further with a lower weight until u fail
He is our project, our masterpiece
He has the potential but he must fail before he succeeds
With the same weight everytime right?
generally yea
occasionally ill do something called “the tower of doom” where i go to failure on max weight, and then drop the weight down, again til failure, and repeat until i reach the lightest weight
i like ending my routine this way. keeps it fun and makes sure im gassed by the end.
