I know purrp said there was a reason for it, like a homage to some other movie
But I personally didn't care for the way the story was told. I think it was an interesting idea but the pacing was bad because of how it was broken up into a bunch of mini chapters.
I wish they would have focused heavier on 1-2 characters to make you feel connected to the story. Instead it feels like they were filling out space around the event.

I was invested pretty much only for the first chapter with Justine
After that the movie fell off for me even if some of the shock value scenes were funny/entertaining
