Hip-hop as a genre is a younger genre in comparison to some genres like classical, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and pop. Its a rarity in all genres to have that level of consistency with select discography’s, but they’ve had more time in comparison to hip-hop to see more artists/bands rise up and showcase this feat. Hip-hop is not at a stagnant point in comparison to rock in the mainstream for example, and will have years to continue to grow and have the conversation evolve.
