Kenny is not close to Kanye as a cultural figure. Kanye is in a league of his own as a celebrity, he’s very unique for better or worse. Kenny just doesn’t have the temperament to compete.
Kenny is seriously challenging him for discography convos though and Kanye has taken notice, which is why he fired off at him so much this year. Whenever someone challenges is artistry or artistic status, he goes against them. This is why he went against Drake for multiple years because Drake was challenging his hits.
