As far as privacy and s***?

yeah. like messages are encrypted but meta tracks every minor detail about you when you use it so really its not that "private".

the message itself is encrypted but everything else about you like where you were when you sent it, frequency of using, what network you were connected to, other devices you were near, etc etc etc etc etc all gets sent to Facebook

but they advertise it as "privacy first" which is just scummy imo. its a fine chat app just dont trust it to be private.

Jack Dorsey dropped a new encrypted chat app but it doesn’t work unless there’s people around you using iy

oh yeah like a peer 2 peer thing?

i think signal or telegram are good alternatives if you truly want privacy. if you just wanna chat then yeah whatsapp is fine ofc its just scammy advertising imo.

    This how @Extraterrestrial thinks

It’s true though. Apple waits to release features until they’re functional without bugs. There have been very few times, if ever, where a new Apple feature was a disaster

people always give apple s*** for "copying" but in reality the other companies tend to jump at something new right away, apple waits until its more mature and ready to be launched without issues.

according to the leaks with regards to the fold, its because finally samsung developed a screen that can fold with no visible crease, so now apple is ready to try to enter the market.

im curious how they'll solve all the durability issues with foldables

So ofc Apple will own the f*** out of the fold market from here on bc everyone will think they did it best

I think it appeals to different people

Some people want the newest tech and are like okay with there being some issues

And some people just want a polished safe experience

Apple people would argue that android people are getting ripped off buying unpolished phones. Android people would argue apple people are paying a premium for old tech

    basically how it always goes

no one removed headphone jacks until apple did
airpod pros are the biggest wireless earbuds and even android users prefer them
    etc etc

they've had their flops (the entire apple home speaker system) but more often then not they nail their products. they tend to focus on how it will be used and how easy / beautiful it is to use rather than rushing to have the latest and greatest feature.
