Oh nah I get what he means, I think a lot of the charm of that older s*** these artists are pulling from is the a***og sounds
S*** is all digital and easy to make sound really clear, the muddiness of old stuff is kinda why it’s stayed so timeless (for some stuff)
RAM is a disco album made in the 2010s, and 24K Magic takes a lot of influence and cues from 90s R&B/New Jack Swing.
Both albums aren’t really raw, they’re very very very meticulously crated very clean sounding albums. That’s the comparison.
you can't mock me for liking the experimental choice over the basic one if you're gonna mock the pop girly enjoyers Wes
Fried his pork chop ass
I'm JK Wes
Hmm
I see what you mean
Example:
Could it be like film grain / artifacts
Like the old camera's that made the TV shows or movies feel more real than fake even though it came with a lot more drawbacks if not fixed post editing
Exactly this
How film feels better visually. A***og feels better to our ears even if it was a pain in the ass work with its. So when artists make these throw back sounds they’re missing that like indescribable quality
Face card not declining...
Ion care what material them titties are...
One for you one for me
you can't mock me for liking the experimental choice over the basic one if you're gonna mock the pop girly enjoyers Wes
But you love the pop girls too John

Hence why it is still impressive in its own right that they pulled it off but it loses some of the magic in the process

the last mainstream pop album I liked quite a bit was the Billie debut unless you count Charli which is borderline

That last Charli album was pretty mainstream
