PurrpOh nah I get what he means, I think a lot of the charm of that older s*** these artists are pulling from is the a***og sounds
S*** is all digital and easy to make sound really clear, the muddiness of old stuff is kinda why it’s stayed so timeless (for some stuff)
RAM is a disco album made in the 2010s, and 24K Magic takes a lot of influence and cues from 90s R&B/New Jack Swing.
Both albums aren’t really raw, they’re very very very meticulously crated very clean sounding albums. That’s the comparison.
