Ghost has one of the best ears for production Doom laced him with so much heart in that era. If you love Fishscale do yourself a service and listen to More Fish after. It's a sweet companion piece.

I prefer this over GS but not by much. Listening to them back to back is an amazing experience

I can’t imagine a Ghostface vs Doom now that I think about it.. I can’t think of a single Doom song that could beat either one of these two songs

I thought the same but when I revisited his catalog I was reminded that his best can go toe to toe with ghost's. Fancy Clown, Rhinestone Cowboy, Fazers, Vaudeville Villain, Go With the Fow. It goes on and on I'm biased so maybe i'm trippin lol

They’re like two completely different genres to me, I dunno how to explain it

I can’t think of a single artist that is a good match up for Doom, I guess maybe Earl but even then that’s just not fair for either of them

You're right though. I recognized that when I compared the songs side by side, they don't work well against each other and it actually takes away from the strength of the individual songs. What do you think @RocMarci ? I'm always open to suggestions.

Jadakiss has more legendary songs but couldn't make a classic album to save his life. His achilles heel has to be ear for production.

You ain’t lying man, I think KTGG is definitely his best album but besides that it’s just good songs lol

I wish he would have locked in with some more grimey beats, like imagine an album with just Alchemist and Madlib production

I guess he wanted to prove he could also make mainstream songs but his fans didn't want that unless it was organic like "We Gonna Make It" or 'By Your Side'. I hate when a rapper has the talent to put out a classic but don't know what their strengths are or lack the vision. A good producer could change that if they kept it 100
