Ghost has one of the best ears for production
Doom laced him with so much heart in that era. If you love Fishscale do yourself a service and listen to More Fish after. It's a sweet companion piece.
Yeah I remember More Fish, it had that bonus Kanye track with Neyo I believe lol that song used to be my s***
I haven’t listened to Ghostface in a minute, so excited to listen
He only has one miss and I'm happy people are turning around on Bulletproof Wallets. I know, I know but the OG version would've been this and that, but I'm happy with the retail version too. By the way, I will use two songs from the bootleg in my VZ
Never Be The Same Again
Never Be The Same Again
Ghost was the first rapper that made me feel like it was cool to be myself. Like I didn't have to give a f*** about fitting in. That means a lot to a kid growing up in the hood.

God damn I used to play this s*** on repeat lol
i prefer this over its predecessor. crazy loll
@saveme i'm serious. ghost showers is better than cherchez laghost

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIdPfbwNV3wI prefer this over GS but not by much. Listening to them back to back is an amazing experience
I can’t imagine a Ghostface vs Doom now that I think about it.. I can’t think of a single Doom song that could beat either one of these two songs

I thought the same but when I revisited his catalog I was reminded that his best can go toe to toe with ghost's. Fancy Clown, Rhinestone Cowboy, Fazers, Vaudeville Villain, Go With the Fow. It goes on and on
I'm biased so maybe i'm trippin lol

They’re like two completely different genres to me, I dunno how to explain it
I can’t think of a single artist that is a good match up for Doom, I guess maybe Earl but even then that’s just not fair for either of them

You're right though. I recognized that when I compared the songs side by side, they don't work well against each other and it actually takes away from the strength of the individual songs. What do you think @RocMarci ? I'm always open to suggestions.

I’m glad you agree man cuz they just don’t go up against each other well even though they’ve done a lot of music together lol

Who do you think would be an ideal opponent for Ghost?

Besides Raekwon.. maybe Jadakiss?
I think it’d be best if it wasn’t another member from Wu

Jadakiss has more legendary songs but couldn't make a classic album to save his life. His achilles heel has to be ear for production.

You ain’t lying man, I think KTGG is definitely his best album but besides that it’s just good songs lol
I wish he would have locked in with some more grimey beats, like imagine an album with just Alchemist and Madlib production

I guess he wanted to prove he could also make mainstream songs but his fans didn't want that unless it was organic like "We Gonna Make It" or 'By Your Side'. I hate when a rapper has the talent to put out a classic but don't know what their strengths are or lack the vision. A good producer could change that if they kept it 100

I love both
You ok with only 5 features in the lox battle?
You mean all together?
So it’d be like what.. 10 actual Lox songs as a collective, 5 solo and then 5 feats?

Nah do whatever you want as long as it's only 5 features.
I'm going to do solo too. Sheek even has 3 bangers

I'm trying to avoid Yayo altogether but if you play any sheek I'm going to play Yayo. I'm a fair competitor
