When you find a stack of Star Trak vinyl at the local used spot
the first bday i celebrated with my gf she bought me In My Mind by Pharrell
i buy used 90% of time and try to buy for like $10-15 only ideally
i just feel like an idiot paying like $35 for a new copy of a Beatles album or something. but i also have barely any beatles yet unfortunately
Idk I also get scared of it being damaged or scratched
Vinyls aren’t as niche as they were, seen even smaller spots that just have good collections do alright with little gimmicks !
Just wondering how they do alright. Especially in busier urban areas where commercial rent prices are insanity. It’s gotta be really hard to be profitable unless, again, you’re selling super rare high priced stuff to collectors
real the dopamine hit you get when you find an album you've spent 4-5 months looking for is crazy
i still remember when i found an unopened WTT vinyl for $40 at a record shop near my old place
pure happiness and genuine surprise
ive YET to find WTT in person
f***!!
considering a run of Misterscan vinyls

ill be ready
Idk you have way more protections from Amazon. If it ships in bad condition, you can return it or have it replaced extremely easily. Likely won’t be as easy with a record shop. I don’t really see an advantage worth $50 at all. It’s not like Amazon sends f***ed up packages all the time. They really have their s*** down
all those colored records/picture records you won't get off amazon though because the artist/label will only sell it off their site or to a record seller shop
and those are the collectible ones people want because they gain value a lot of the time and never get repressed
Are you still sad over the traveling Grindr girl brother

I wouldn’t drop $1k just yet. It seems like you’re growing in popularity pretty well, seems like more of a later thing where you might actually sell a lot of them

i agree, seeing that people have requested vinyls on there before and now that some people actually bought songs (they're 0.99 but still they bought 4 of them and they didnt have to) shows interest outside of the posts
im still sitting on it, planning a campaign to gauge serious interest before i make the order
