My opinion on History is that its overall a pretty underrated album

But it does have its flaws though. Some of the production is meh and while I appreciate the honesty in the writing, the album suffers from being so angry at points, that it overshadows the rest of the complex emotions that he was feeling at the time of conception.

And also, making this be paired with a greatest hits disk was 👎. To go from all those happy and upbeat songs on disk 1 to something completely different on disk 2 for the most part was a poor creative choice.

Some of the songs on here are incredibly strong though. Stranger In Moscow is generational.

It’s not a bad album at all, like a 7/10

It’s just little things that hold it back from being OTW/Thriller/Bad level.

Like why the hell did he put a Beatles cover from the BAD era on the album
