I do like a pancreas though, those are delicious
He would basically have me sit at the table for hours, waiting for me to eat what’s on the plate. Of course, it wouldn’t happen so he’d try spanking me. But I had strong dancer buns so he couldn’t break me.
Oh yeah my mom did that too
There were some foods I would just like refuse to eat
But I wouldn't say this traumatized me
Ok what is the hurdle then? Let’s say you have a chicken pasta, what would ruin it?
texture and form of the pasta
something like that, I could actually learn to enjoy. This is less of a taste issue for me.

Hannibal lecter type vibe
I think maybe my step-dad went about trying to break my picky eating habits in a non-healthy way.
I’ve gotten better about it over the years but one bad whiff of something I don’t like is enough to make me throw up
Last sentence real
Well, like I said, the organs that process waste are just kinda gross to eat (in my mind)
And then brains and spinal cords carry a lot of disease (I.e. mad cow disease) so that makes them unappetizing to me
that sounds like a cultural thing
if you had them growing up without thinking about it, you might see it differently

Interesting.
I usually don't get chicken tenders anywhere though except sonic maybe

So it’s literally it just being non-American food that turns you off?
Like what bothers you about chicken lo mein which is literally just chicken and pasta

Probably. I do enjoy liver and pancreas.
And chicken feet. Yum

Nort is a maga
conservative when it comes to food
Even as a kid I could like reason with the idea of like why she was forcing me to eat something
So I wasn't like traumatized by the idea of it being random cruelty or unfair
Because like in my head I already knew like "oh this is what she could afford to get to eat and we aren't rich" or "yeah I should probably try to like new things"
Seems kinda food racist buddy
I don’t have a taste for it. The only thing I’ve tried is naan bread. I like naan.
like a lot of meat is kinda gross when you think about it too hard but sometimes you need to shut the f*** up and have a burger
Y’all ever seen these videos in Italy where they make pasta in big ass parmesan cheese wheels?
I never force my kids to eat anything. I just tell them they’re done eating. That usually works.
Oh yeah my mom did that too

I don’t think it’s the reasoning why I struggle with picky eating now. I was always told by doctors that this was an adhd symptom.
Interesting.

Wtf why sonic

I don't understand by " a taste for it" ?
Is it the different seasoning?

naan isn't the same unless it's dipped into a nice curry!

No, plenty of american food is gross to me. But Im saying a restaurant that specializes in american food will have something on the menu for me.

This makes sense
But tbh my brother was way way way worse about eating stuff, like still has insane food habits, and he told me it goes back to like trauma from growing up
