Freddie Gibbs reception on here confuses me

I remember ktt1 was hyping the hell out of Freddie Gibbs from like 2011-2016

Did his music get a lot worse? I feel like it sounds the same when I try listening to it

Ktts taste just changed maybe and stopped hyping up rappers like that

Idk any like rapper rapper that ktt has hyped up recently

It seems like there is a large portion that dislikes all of them except legacy acts

Maybe the "real hip-hop" stuff was too annoying so the online pendulum swung in the other direction and you can only be cool as a quirky genre fuser or a trap banger artist

I think they need new production that is exciting for people but still fits the genre elements of being like purely hip hop

People maybe just got tired of those boring alchemist style beats

I do generally like Freddie Gibbs but at this point he’s made the same album 9 times

Like the new Freddie Gibbs album is good, it just bores me to death
