My theory is that Tyler The Creator doesn't like Drake at this point and has been subtly poking the bear to see what happens. The music video with LeBron and Clipse in it, and the song being called "Stop Playing With Me"?? I feel like even if we chalked all of that up to coincidence, he'd understand the optics of all of the above. Especially with him going further to clarify the lines on POV.
If I had to guess, I think the "Meltdown" verse was one of the catalysts of multiple people going after him. Him dissing Pharrell was something that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, as Kendrick mentioned on Euphoria.

I don’t retroactively hate his music bc of the beef. I liked FATD more than most it I feel but I don’t return to it anymore. His recent stuff has lower returns for me personally. Even Her Loss I don’t come back to as much as I did.
Haven’t cared for more post beef releases tho. He just sounds out of it in general to me
I think his quality has remained consistent and I realize I am in the minority saying that

The opinions I had on Drake post beef musically are the same as they were pre beef lmao
I still love a lot of his 2009-2017 work.
The only thing thats really changed for me is how I view him as a public persona. I think he's looked awful post beef and continues to do things that make him look corny because he can't accept the results of what went down.
