When you die, what’s left of you are all the things you did while you were alive. the good things and the bad. Your impression and memories with the people are still with them. All the dark stuff that happened can also be part of your legacy, depending on how much it affected people. I don’t think we should just stop talking about it just because you’re not here anymore or you don’t want to offend people. Sure, you should know in which tone you say things but I see it like that as a fan I Ozzy had huge problems and did some undeniably f***ed up s*** in the past. His music was the thing I liked about him. That’s it

I'm not saying you should offer grace to people committing genocide just based on being nice

I'm saying I just don't think it's beneficial to bash a very famous and beloved recently deceased person in a thread full of potential non zionists that could feel a way about people doing that

I don't think it's the best look or the best tactic for getting people who are potentially less aware to look into or support your movement

It feels more like attention seeking/rage baiting

It's up there. I still think Igor is his best overall album.

I'm fighting between Wolf and CMIYGL as my personal fav T album.

I used to hate CMIYGL off my expectations, I grew to extremely love it nowadays.

I support the reasoning behind why Americana is saying Ozzy sucked

I support thinking those things and even saying them around certain groups

and I even support spreading the message in a less hostile way to look into what some of your favorite artists are supporting

I don't support/really see any productive reason to try to piss people off immediately after he died by mocking the fact that they are upset about it

Sure and I'm sure saying these mean things in a thread full of people who are potentially less educated about issues and isolating them from potentially supporting your cause based on coming across as annoying makes you feel politically aware and woke and really cool in the moment but it doesn't really have a point that goes any further than that

I don’t think americana does it because he wants to one up people as I said he’s from Afghanistan so he’s affected by these policies & political agendas he just speaks his truth sure there are some people like that but I don’t think it matters that much the mindset of oh people just want to look righteous when they talk about political s*** they are passionate about is not a healthy perspective imo. When you just look at everything with this bias then there’s no reason to take anything seriously at all you can just stay passive and point your fingers at people who feel more connection about these things then you do and feel good about not saying or doing s*** it’s mental masturbation basically blaming finding ways to blame other people for your indifference
