The working class needs to be armed to defend itself from potential state violence or far-right extremism (especially if you’re a minority). Disarming the working class while the state and police remain heavily armed creates an power imbalance that will be misused undoubtedly. Gun control historically has also been used to disarm marginalized groups, especially Black and working-class communities like for example when the NRA supported Gun Control back when the Black Panthers had weapons for retaliation so they can disarm them (Mulford Act).

It can be seen as a means of self-defense against the state or any fascist oppression. Reduce the state’s monopoly on violence. Empower working-class communities to defend themselves. Disarm oppressive or fascist forces — both public and private. Encourage collective, not individualistic, forms of gun ownership — such as community-based self-defense groups (e.g. Black Panthers), provide access to training, education, safety and don’t give any loony a weapon who’s itching to shoot up some schools, you could do something like Universal Background Checks (keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, fascist paramilitaries, and those with a history of hate crimes). Heavily regulate parts of the pro-imperalist war gun industry, which pushes weapons for profit, not safety. Address the Root Causes of Violence - Invest in housing, health care, education, and jobs, especially in underserved communities. And more
