I just can’t stand delusional hard line ideologic thought.
Best example I can think of:
It’s like if I came in to your house, trashed it, set it on fire, and then punched you in the face while you stood outside and watched it burn.
And in response, you killed me and my entire family.
The rational reaction from a third party would be: What ET did was absolutely horrible, but Bruises response was extreme and out of proportion.
The life/politics sxn reaction: We must exterminate Bruises. ET did nothing wrong.

But I think the reasoning behind it does matter and it's not black and white
Like if I had repeatedly been doing something to you that was unfair for years and you set my house on fire I can see why people would defend you and judge me for harshly retaliating
