Let me give you a simple example.

You become a burger flipper at McDonald’s. You’re always on time, never call out unless it’s a real emergency, put in 100% effort.

You become assistant manager, then manager. Suddenly, your McDonald’s has the best reviews, is always clean, generates more revenue than average.

Corporate notices. They want to know what you’re doing that’s different from everyone else. You move up the corporate ladder and become a regional manager, etc, etc.

Does that happen for most people? Absolutely not. Has it happened for people that worked their asses off? Yes.
