I have been paying more attention to sound design a little

I want it to sound futuristic but crusty and muddy too

Ive also learned that if you side chain the bass to the snare drum it makes it hit harder

I never really used sidechaining before but it's pretty cool I think

Like you can make things stand out more without having to make sacrifices in other areas and tweaking the volume a bunch .

Also if you side chain a lead to a kick it will make it sound all glitchy and wobbly

I think of sidechaining more as a neat effect to make things sound different then as like a tool for mixing
