I’m not here to defend amy schumer but I think a lot of ppl who just don’t like her use the joke stealing thing without knowing the specifics

I don’t know the specifics either (I may have heard them years ago but I forget).

I’m not against joke stealing police and I think comedians have a good system of calling each other out (the clip of Joe Rogan confronting Carlos mencia is a good one).

Idk how bad Amy’s offenses were but she isn’t a total hack, i enjoyed her comedic sketch acting on inside amy Schumer

It’s not just to be a contrarian

Inside amy schumer was a popular show that lasted 4 season or something. I’m not watching skits from it in 2025 mind you but I enjoyed it and remember it.

Obviously it’s very uncool for anyone to say they’re a Schumer fan on the internet but I don’t care about coming off cool. I’m not afraid of saying positive things about unpopular things

If I never saw or never enjoyed any schumers work you’d be correct

To give another example- I never personally enjoyed Mind of Mencia. But if someone, during a discussion about mencia joke stealing was like “I actually enjoyed mind of mencia!” That would be fine. We don’t all have to be joke stealing police, u can enjoy s*** and let the comedians themselves police it

On some level u have to admits it’s not crazy to say a comedian who had a show that lasted 5 seasons on Comedy Central, a successful stand up career and movie career is talented and successful
