As for the rest yeah like I said it’s definitely in ignorance that i ask that and i appreciate you responding in a kind manner. It doesn’t make sense to my binary mind but that’s not to say I don’t believe in bi people just that as I said
To me if I see someone bi date and marry and f*** their same s***for 20 years to me I just don’t see how you claim both. You may find the other s***aesthetically pleasing or maybe mentally stimulating or whatever reason but you clearly have a preference and like it just seems like you’re gay to me idk

yeah i feel you. i think with a case of someone who is bi and exclusively f***s and dates the same s***over decades there could be a lot of reasons for it
possible that theyre not into the other s***romantically as much. or maybe want different things that a straight relationship wouldnt typically have (ex: a submissive bisexual man). and like you say very possible that they do heavily lean towards the same s***but they still do consider themself attracted to the opposite s***probably for good reason. or maybe we just dont know about literally all their sexual and romantic encounters since its private
i guess it just comes down mostly to how its the people expressing themselves like you say. like if someone says they like the opposite s***too even though they prefer being with their own theres no reason not to believe them
gay people starting out identifying as bi as either a cope or just still figuring themselves out is definitely a thing tho, worth mentioning that for sure. but if thats the case it is just nicer to let them identify it for themselves instead of doing the Ice T 'that means youre gay'

i think straight people are usually more concerned about this than we are. to a lot of them they just view bi people as whatever their current relationship is
average hetero mind cant fathom a bisexual marrying a man for example, to them he'd just be gay
lowkey plays into the annoying idea of some straight and gay people being reluctant to date a bi person because theyre worried theyd cheat with the other gender, like one gender is never enough for a bisexual

I think you can have slept with/ fooled with men or women as either gender and it not necessarily make you bi . I genuinely think your preference is the deciding factor. In my personal not speaking for the whole group experience with bi people they have a preference and tend not to even date outside of it. They may fool around or be like oh that same or opposite s***person is attractive but I don’t get the vibe they really bout that life. So maybe I’m looking at based on the lens of who people actually date/ get physical not just what they say they like idk. Lot of “I’m bi bc that seems cool” people

also i think unfortunately since the 'gay world' and straight world are kinda separate, its easier for bi people to fall more into one side than the other. like the further you go down each, youre probably getting more acquainted with either straight or lgbt people and meet and get with them more
like a bi guy whos fresh out of a gay relationship, has lgbt circles naturally might find another gay partner easier than a woman (lot of whom wouldnt want to date a guy whos basically gay in their eyes anyway)

type thingAppreciate the level headed response fr. Ik those topics can be a lil grey area to talk about or come off with some sort of connotation but really I was genuinely asking/ expressing how I see it from the outside looking in. Again not that it necessarily matters in the grand scheme.
All of that makes sense it’s a very very nuanced situation and even tho it’s a fluid thing it’s not necessarily black and white / binary so yeah I get you completely and agree with you
