The old Sonic actually looked like a cartoonish hedgehog, with a beautifully vibrant world, and had a swag to him. The old Sonic was more arrogant and wasn’t all about ✨ friendship ✨. He still loved his friends, but the guy was known to disappear for sometimes years at a time off on his own solo adventures or playing in a rock band.

The new Sonic has 70% less personality and can be found in either downtown Manhattan or San Francisco with Tails and Knuckles when he takes a break from guarding the emerald.
