NortHTTT was a burnt out Radiohead that was looking to fulfill their label deal
its like their white album man. (if white album was the beatles 5th or 6th best album instead of 1st)
the 'burnt out' feeling, anxieties, sounds clashing together are part of the appeal for me and make it compelling.
all their albums after it, even KOL, are more 'pretty' music in a way. HTTT has the ugliness they already half-abandoned by OKC era

I get what you mean about the feeling. My issue is just the songs themselves aren’t the strongest by RH standards, to me.
