Dude, if you were born in 1997, you are literally closer in age, experiences, and cultural references to millennials born in the early '90s than to some kid born in freaking 2012. You were alive before smartphones existed, you probably remember VHS tapes, dial-up internet, and the rise of social media rather than growing up with TikTok from birth. You came of age in a completely different cultural landscape. Generation Z grew up fully digital, whereas you clearly had a foot in the a***og world. Accept it—you’re a millennial, buddy, and you have absolutely nothing relatable with kids who are still watching Paw Patrol right now.

WESLEYS THEORYI went to a bar around 12 AM last night with one of my best friends for a drink
I heard a ton of Kendrick and Future.
And I wanna preface by saying I cued up 1 Kendrick song, everything else was cued up by everyone else.
Someone put Nokia on the cue and it played and you could feel the awkwardness in the room 😭
People that were bopping to Kendrick and Future stopped.
I went outside cuz my friend smoked a Cig and made a joke about Kendrick fans and the guy who checks IDs came out and heard us and said “Bro all I’ve been hearing here is Kendrick since the halftime. People are obsessed! I’m sick of it but I can’t lie that s*** so damn catchy”.
