Ive never seen this show, but it conflating d*** use as equally immoral as murder is a good propaganda tactic.
Im sure it’s still a good show and it probably wasnt intentional other than the creators feeling a moral parallel themselves.

Breaking bad suffers from that too and i enjoy that show a lot.

Someday im goign to make a movie that showcases casual d*** use that has no bearing on the character or detrimental effects to the characters, like what happens irl most of the time

Like people get upset at characters doing heroin in the show but then are somewhat ok with people murdering people, thats how theyre conflated.

When i watch it myself I’ll point it out.
