I think you’re equating him to being a singles artist because he had so many successful singles from his respective albums. You’d almost see them as taking a life of their own outside of their albums.

But he definitely spent a lot of time sequencing his albums and being meticulous about it.

Truth be told it’s irritating he was so meticulous because he should’ve dropped atleast a couple more when he was alive.
