    Mmm Hmm

    Why

    It's not directed at you
Nor is it being used in conversation as a negative thing

It doesn’t have to be directed at me, it’s still something that deeply affects me and something I deal with everyday in my life. Like yes I get this thread has fun when Nort gets into his liberal bag and I know he brought that point up but It just makes me uncomfortable.

putting labels on people and dividing them up and scapegoating ppl as villains rather than viewing them as humans who think differently than u is textbook fascism

thats a pretty bad representation of what anti-intellectualism is

Nort having people who are bought out and doing the worst job in the world at protecting public be criticized and have people with other ideas brought forward is not anti intellectualism. Theres reasonable evidence theyre corrupt

the sugar studies funded by soda companies lmfao

50 Years Ago, Sugar Industry Quietly Paid Scientists To Point Blame At Fat

In the 1960s, the sugar industry funded research that downplayed the risks of sugar and highlighted the hazards of fat, according to a newly published article in JAMA Internal Medicine.

it’s anti-intellectualism when we are bringing forward ideas with no credibility or scientific basis behind it.

Or the fat makes you fat stuff where they loaded fat free products with sugar, or the pesticides they use/used, the plastic industry, leaded gasoline. Like you cannot blindly believe what politicians tell u

implying that some politicians can be trusted over other ones is a clear example of anti-intellectualism

I guess you could.. kinda frame it that way? Not really… but that’s not what I’m saying

it’s important to trust experts, because they’re most likely to deliver correct information

and what the government does with that information is not always right
