It was a great bounce back from how mid Tlop was. If anything, it's underrated. Sales were terrible for the album and it did not receive the full attention it deserved because CrasH Talk and the 5 year gap turned a lot of people away

I just relistened to Blue Lips in full yesterday ironically enough after not listening to it for like a month and I was still very impressed.

Imma be real about Vince album, I heard it twice and im kind of whatever on it. It has 3 or so tracks I really like but the mixing on his vocals is a turn off for me.

First impressions exist? I never spoke to the quality on my first listen I speak on how I felt about that listen

I was underwhelmed nothing made me wanna come back. That’s a fair impression. Doesn’t mean I’m running around calling it ass off one listen. I went back in a different setting and came to a different conclusion

Also it’s very possible to listen to something once and know it’s not for you. Why do you need to listen to something you just flat out don’t like twice to say you don’t like it?

It's a chill rad vibey album and he did really good

this album kinda applies to what i'm saying about sitting with an album for a while to appreciate it

i did NOT like this album whatsoever after it came out, took me a while to really vibe with it but when it clicked

Its not a bad album, production is great ofc but thats usual for Vince aside from some of the beats from S/T.

It just didn't really land with me to THAT degree. I think RPBMH did more for me than Dark Times. The callbacks to Shyne Coldchain II were very cool though. It's not one of my personal favorites.
