nahhh that and jimmy cooks are the only songs where hes really rapping like that
yeah fair enough
why do people always associate psychedelic rock with tame impala like they invented that s*** or something?
it says more about ur lack of music taste than anything when people say that
Because it’s either their first or last Psychedelic Rock band. Tame Impala has a signature sound that has been mimicked since Currents. Yachty was just the first mainstream rapper to piggyback this strongly for a whole project
I hope u don't look to pitchfork for validation fam
im a writer
im a writer
For pitchfork?
For pitchfork?
yeah spiritually
yeah spiritually
I don't trust y'all reviews lmao
The concept is sounding like tame impala I keep seeing people saying that
He deserves no credit for the concept
Its a clone album there is no crazy creative direction he came up with
I dont think its an exact copy and his presence on it does make it feel different to other artists
But his voice on it just sounds kinda bad
dollar store tame impala
damn
like that
Its not even my fault he made it obvious
He did a tame impala remix
Got a good reaction
Then did a whole tame impala clone album

i just hate if something has a psychedelic rock sound it’s automatically tame impala inspired idk lol
I actually don't trust any review anymore
Everyone keeps ingraining politics and social agendas in their reviews now.
So fuk it

Yeah his presence makes it sound worse because he did a bad job
I don't trust y'all reviews lmao

People dont know anything
i just hate if something has a psychedelic rock sound it’s automatically tame impala inspired idk lol
I’d take that over the Dark Side of the Moon comparisons lol
didnt give Like..? a 10 like it deserves
i think it’s obvious who his inspirations were on the album but it doesn’t feel derivative at all & he added his own spin on the sound
i think people are seriously overreacting 2 the album lol being hypercritical of that kind of music kinda defeats the purpose

It's a fun little joint held back by lil Yachty vocals

His own spin is literally just bad vocals

sounds like he did something he knew might work and dana appreciated the work he put into it maybe it wasnt such a bad idea and maybe the album is a tama impala knockoff but tama impala set the bar pretty high so maybe thats actually pretty good considering the circumstances
maybe

This is why I stopped subscribing to Saveme’s music reviews. I think it was the random rant about gun control laws in the middle of his Cocteua Twins review that sent me over the edge

Tsme impala didn't set the bar high they suck
like if he made a jazzhop album would people still be freaking out?
is it cuz he’s a black artist trying 2 do something out of his comfort zone?
is he not allowed 2 experiment even at the expense of alienating his fan base?
im not sure what the big deal is, the album is listenable, if it’s not 4 u that’s fine but 2 simply write it off as a tame impala knock off album is extremely disingenuous
