not too similar tbh. occasionally dip into similar folk rock singer-songwriter bag but Springsteen's sound usually is usually bigger/grander with more instruments (especially horns and piano) and his band has more of a R&B/jazz influence. Neil also never went for the full on anthemic arena blockbuster sound like Springsteen and didnt fully adopt the 80s style in the same way. they almost feel like a decade apart generation-wise

Neil is more introspective, has way more guitar solos, focus on acoustic guitar, and generally expresses the emotions more personally instead of using stories or characters like Springsteen
