You can’t be the best producer out of you dont work with different artists and make a variety of sounds
Ludwig can do a variety but he ain’t really making music in the sense of what the average person is listening to

i would love to hear an argument for what sets metro apart
Well a good example would be some of the instrumental choices on his recent albums like SM2, Heroes And Villains and WDTY. He loves to incorporate live strings, especially the cello into some of his production and you can just hear the love he puts into the extra details that you just don’t hear from other “generic” producers.
And his drums always smack and are mixed very well.
