The thing is… CC is more folk-ish, country and rock and roll… while MOTW is Justin’s traditional mix of pop, R&B and hip-hop with ~Americana vibes~

they both contain traditional country inspired harmony, melody, and soundscape

Both Cowboy Carter and MOTW was extremely mediocre to me musically.

I love "SWEET/HONEY/BUCKIIN'" so much.

They're not country, they just used the aesthetic of certain sounds of Country music, images, and then put their own twist to it.

The albums itself weren't similar, but clearly they used the same marketing process.

The only difference is that again JT got mass hate while Bey is praised to extreme like she's doing "something new".

A few country songs with a bunch of country-influenced tracks don't make an album "Country".
