But you can just imagine how big it was. One of the members of the biggest band of all time, gunned down so violently and brutally. The brutality of it probably disturbed a lot of people around that time and made high profile people on high alert. Hell, Paul McCartney didn’t tour for almost the entire decade because of it.

that s*** was a fever dream, i took a nap and woke up to my ipad and phone buzzing like crazy and distinctly remember opening discord and seeing everyone tagging me in the lakers server saying "kobe died" "kobe died" "kobe's dead" and then thinking man what that's weird and then I opened r/nba and saw the top post on the page with 60k upvotes and like 10k comments within 30 minutes of being posted and immediately froze on the spot

right before the lockdowns for covid too

Lennon got too comfortable living in New York for a number of years and assumed no one would try to hurt him or bother him because people around there didn’t really give a s*** about him as a celebrity.

You’ll never see that level of nonchalance again from a celebrity. Even the most laid back celebrity got a security guard with them hanging in the back.
