i have some tiktok petpeeves though. these are the videos i hate:

1. anything staged. someone falling or whatever is funny. pulling a prank on your significant other can be funny. but when you stage it and it's clearly not real/genuine, i hate you. making a staged tiktok is the worst.
2. duos. shut up with your duo. i dont want to see you talking over another tiktok video.
3. i f***ing HATE the people who go into government buildings and film and get the government employees to tell them to stop filming and they're like "haha i have the right to film idiot!". if you do this i hate you.

don't forget the highly optimized algorithm which results in users mindlessly scrolling for extended periods of time far past the point of it producing anything remotely entertaining

i dont mind this part. i like the algorithm, it's good at showing me videos i might like
