EchiRodrigoI didn't take it personally but I do feel somewhat targeted because i do fall under the "Pop stans itt" so ofcourse I am gonna voice my opinion on the matter. I don't even remember much annoyances about it because they briefly get mentioned for like 2-3 pages and then the topic tends to switch. Compare that with Prince/MJ/Beatles/Weezer/fuck else talk that went/goes on for pages on pages almost everyday but that's suddenly tolerable. It highkey comes across as gatekeeping which is cringe asl.
I've always found this argument insanely dumb because it doesn't mean jackshit when a lot of other artists gets talked about for hours on end on this site and it doesn't automatically mean that u share the same thoughts as he does on taylor or any matter. By that logic everyone on this site is a f***ing nazi then? And once again users on here really do not have to engage with an artist/topic that they don't like/care about because noone is holding a gun to their head to do so. So I do not understand why the need to do so other than to troll i guess? but they take it so serious that it doesn't sound fun for them either.
You should NOT take KTT2 seriously. You should NOT take the idea of being a Pop Stan seriously. That’s your first issue. You’re better than that. Nobody should unironically Stan anybody, that’s just unhealthy.
And I agree with the points made about The Beatles/Prince/whoever else you wanna put under that bubble. That was part of what frustrated me during that period. I’m allowed to express how I felt about it. It was not just I dislike Taylor and everything else is cool. I disliked how repetitive ALL the Pop talk got. Just like how it gets exhausting when you talk about anything too much.
