There are some people who don’t listen to the “classics” and probably speak against them because it annoys them how they get revered and respected when a lot of the modern music they listen to gets s*** on and disrespected by the same people.
Nas is a OG and a GOAT, but he also comes from a different time period. He’s not going to be revered by the people of now necessarily. The same way Tupac, Biggie and even Jay-Z aren’t. His place in music is still solidified.
