its good to get them a scratch post so that they dont scratch up your furniture and ruin it

however they dont always like to scratch the things you want them to scratch. like u can get them a scratch post and they might just love to scratch a certain furniture item no matter how much u try to stop them.

but directing their scratching is a worthwhile effort if u have furniture u care about
