the hits are undeniable but those hits dont all connect with me much
i do respect the prolificness more than anything. i think i just dont connect with that general era's sound for pop/rap/R&B to a crazy extent or have as much nostalgia for it really
Just like with many other greats, the hits connect more with casual listeners than they do with us music nerds. Just dive deeper in their catalog and you'll have a greater appreciation for their sound and versatility.
