I'm just as excited for Drake's FAT D as the next guy, but this album season has me thinking, there's nothing Drake could do with this album or any album in the future to ever touch Kanye's legacy, and thats gotta be a pretty frustrating position to be in considering everything seems to be stacked in his favor as of right now.

He's outselling Kanye, doesn't have any controversies on the level of Kanye, and is overall at the peak of his fame (maybe scorpion was the peak of his popularity but you get the idea).

In my ponderings it dawned upon me that all Drake is to the common man is a popular rapper, whereas Kanye was (and in some senses still is) a total zeitgeist in and of himself.

Where Yeezy succeeded, Nocta fell flat

Ye's experimentation is lauded, Drakes experimentation is widely regarded as a joke.

Ye's every movement is in the news, how often do you hear about Drake?

To add insult to injury, Drake hurls sneak diss upon sneak diss at Ye and Company just to rarely if ever get responded to. Its embarrassing at this point and I say that as a fan of Drake.

I can't imagine being in his position. One of the most popular rappers in the world can't obtain the same level of respect as a man who spouts nazi rhetoric and needs punch-ins on half his verses.

Even if you believe Drake is more talented and creative in every aspect than Kanye, which I believe most people would disagree with, there's no denying who folks will remember and look up to in 40 years.

Press. Where you drunk when you wrote this
