The artists you’ve listed have all dropped 10/10 work before so the expectation being higher is more expected and logical.
Album wise Cole got a 9/10 with FHD and that’s the closest I think he got. So the expectation that The Fall Off will somehow be a 10/10 when he’s never reached that level before is unfair to Cole and that album. That’s on the listener for having an unrealistic expectation.

It was!
It was a solid 8/10, not quite as good as FHD but probably his 2nd best album.
Still shouldn’t encourage the expectation that his next one is gonna shake the earth and be a classic 10/10.
