i think as long as u get a few songs u like from each album that’s better than nothing i guess.. i can’t really imagine going thru prince’ discography 4 the 1st time again lol, a lot of the music is attached 2 nostalgia

save me’s review of disintegration

1st off i wanna say, this album is as close 2 a perfect album u can get. i was worried that i wouldn’t like it cuz the hype was so out of this world.. but it’s real. i need 2 praise the lyrics on this album, they are immaculate. robert truly poured his heart out on here, i can’t believe how many times i just sat there in awe at how beautiful the songwriting is on here. i don’t even know how some1 comes up with some of this stuff, it just blows my f***ing mind. poetry at its absolute finest.

And I forget how to move when my mouth is this dry
And my eyes are bursting hearts in a blood-stained sky

musically this is just perfect. i wasn’t bored not even a single 2nd. i don’t even know what else 2 say, if u haven’t heard this just listen & u will understand why i’m at a loss 4 words.. sometimes it’s best 2 not say much, the music just speaks 4 itself.

This song was bad and then it got worse as prince ranted about how kids are not born bad for like 2 whole minutes while the same thing played repeatedly in the background

real, one of the best albums ever what was your favorite intro? i love how literally every one is like 1min+ until the vocals come in

also did you already know Pictures of You and Lovesong going into the album or nah? those 2, boys dont cry and just like heaven were the Cure songs I already knew before listening to them i think

the repetitiveness comes from funk and i kinda feel like you dont love that kind of music.

1999 has a lot of that, idk if youll like some songs like DMSR or Automatic if you havent heard those ones already

favorite intro? mannnn

that’s tough but if i had 2 pick i guess i would go with prayers 4 rain, that s*** had me flying.. the build up is just so intense, then the strings come in then the guitar.. just wow

& i had never heard pictures of u, at least i don’t think but i listened 2 lovesong cuz of the vz they had, but i didn’t have headphones on so i wasn’t really paying much attention so it was pretty much me hearing it 4 the 1st time

favorite intro is Homesick. the way it starts with piano then bass and the guitar finally comes in i think mood wise with the piano it also fits perfectly coming out of the most emotionally powerful track on the album imo, title track

top 3 overall = Disintegration, Pictures of You and Fascination Street

i think youll definitely like Wish too, it has some of the atmospheric stuff plus the great melodies but its lighter
