save me’s review of the head on the door
perhaps it would be best if i listened again but this was kinda underwhelming.. i am not sure what it’s missing but it’s very obviously not hitting like i feel it should have. it’s not bad.. but it’s not something i will be rushing 2 revisit. they experimented with a lot of different sounds on here & that’s always appreciated. i don’t know if i’ve just been in the mood 4 jazz lately & i’m like hyper aware from listening 2 it so much but this is the 1st time i can remember them implementing it in multiple songs. close 2 me & a night like this are absolutely amazing & their use of jazz in those songs are amazing. really hoping they do that again in the future. outside of that, like i said it’s not a bad album.. i feel like if i listen 2 this a few more times i will like it more.. the songwriting is also kind of lacking on this record, it’s crazy what not using d**** will do 2 u
& it’s even more sad what using d**** will also do 2 u.. catch 22 type s***, at least musically.. oh well let’s get 2 my fav songstop 3 fav songs

kyoto song - the oriental influences on this song kinda throw me off a bit, it’s not necessarily a bad song but it’s definitely not my favorite on this album

honestly i would too but ive never heard anything worthy of a 0/10. barely even heard any albums that id call a 1 or 2 either

well yeah but people consider basically anything from 17 seconds to Wish (besides the Top) as one of their best. Head on the Door is probably like the 4-5th most popular choice id say
