Honestly I should revisit some of the Red/Fearless Taylors Versions in more depth, basically my takeaway was that the only song I liked a lot more from those was The Way I Loved You but im probably sleeping on some. ive just been listening to the og Red/Fearless always except that song

I actually like it too tbh

I really like fearless TV tbh

The entire record benefits from her rerecorded vocals, they sound so much more developed compared to the OG recordings
I also think her aging/more mature vocals really help recontextualize certain tracks like Love Story and Fifteen

Fifteen especially feels much more engaging being sung by a woman in her 30s as opposed to an 18 year old, it almost makes the original feel patronizing in a way lol

Sadly I don’t feel as strongly about RED TV, since by Red she sorta already had found her voice and for the most part was writing music like an adult lol. Plus I find that the rerecorded electronic elements just don’t hit the same compared to the originals, it’s really hard to recreate VSTs lol
