I'm not a massive roots fans, I'm yet to check out a lot of their albums (I like illadelph halflife) but I do have some rare stuff from them lol, a 54 track long edition of Dilla Jawns
I collect rare Madlib too, got a lot of supe rare batches from the 90s, 00s, 2014,2017,2019,2020
apart of that, I love to collect the best sounding pressings (cd,vinyl,web,r2r whatever) of the stuff I be listening to. Got tons of vinyl rips
Remove CS and make uzi have a longer verse in the Bring me the horizon song and its a classic

you should give their discography a deep dive man, i can't say enough good things about their albums
and that's awesome man, i'm not too well versed in madlib like i am with dilla, preemo, 9th and alc and all them.. seems like i better familiarize myself

roots vz mos & kweli
roots vz mos & kweli
i like it... although I think Black Star is the heavy favorite there, in part because of their kanye collabs
black thought vs talib would be more evenly matched IMO
whatchu mean

seems a bit disrespectful to the roots imo.. them kanye tracks are nukes but i think it's a better match to have mos & kweli
when nobody knows the blast

Madlib is insane on the beats but I'm not surprised when people see him more of like a DJ than a producer.. but man, he's got some insane beats. Preemo said he's the only guy whos been able to carry the torch that Dilla lit

i feel u. talib has a long enough discog (unlike mos) that his catlogue is similar or bigger than the roots in volume.
in terms of quality (no pun intended), i agree with you that the roots wash him easily. their discog is way way stronger.
problem is the roots are disrespected on here in general.

cant stop this is my favorite dilla track ever. and i know its a beat they used posthumously but black thought's verses on there are some of my favorite verses of all time

that outro of it is also a Dilla beat so i've heard, sounds like some late stuff, '06 probably
