debris field found near the titanic

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is a debris field

that's what i'm tryna figure out as well.. it has to be something related to the sub cuz they're having a press conference at 3 pm

a field of debris. i mean they might have found the debris with sonar so they dont know what it is at first which is why they use vague terminology until they can confirm what it is

they have extremely detailed scans of the titanic wreckage, if it's the submersible they would be able to tell..

yea like goldie said they know where the titanic wreckage is and its probably not moving around much after 100 years so if they see a field of debris on their radar/sonar and its something different than that, then its like okay lets check this out maybe its sumthin

Either that or they were initially alive but discovered a way to make a hole in the ship which would kill everyone instantly instead of suffocating to death

i doubt this is what happened i mean they would want to wait for rescue, not be like "welp lets call it a life"
