the minimum amount you and ya partner can go is 4.. this is the universal number for what people refer to as "board"
there is no nil bidding.. you don't get to say 0 books and get points for that, we are all grown as hell
there are no blind bids UNLESS you are down by 200.. if you're down by 200 just accept the L u got smoked
if you don't get what you say.. that's negative whatever you went
this is the game of spades, you can debate the rules but they will never change

it's harder to get what you have in your hand tho when you playing with a mf who counts cards tho, appreciate the challenge.. that's the beauty of the game
