I would assume that if they had bought it in the first place an extra 10 dollars a month for something they are genuinely enjoying is probably worth it for them in most cases and wouldn't hurt

this is what i have been saying this entire time..

although i have multipoint pairing on my headphones so i connected both phones and did a test.. tidal sounded better to me

do i think everyone should switch to tidal? no. but i absolutely noticed a difference, it wasn't a placebo.. it was apparent

now this could come down to the particular headphones i was using.. or it could be the streaming service

i am not qualified to speak on the technical differences, i just know what i felt and heard

but i LOVE this 3d reality audio feature and tidal is the service that has it.. dunno what else to say lol

i was so disappointed when i got 'amazing' headphones and then realized i still couldnt tell lossless difference. initially felt like i wasted my money lowkey but now i do think the headphones were worth it overall

cant speak for nort but i was reading his comments thinking about just the placebo for lossless only. i dont think anyone would say the spatial audio things are placebo cuz it objectively changes something, i guess the debate is just whether its actually useful/cool/better or a gimmick
