Speaking of documentaries, y'all ever watch the one on HBO Max about Woodstock 99?

Didn't know what to expect when being recommended an album after discussing Adele with Allison but I'm very pleasantly surprised, this record was much more in line with Amy Winehouse than Adele. The intro track "Rockferry" has a great arrangement to it, love those big mechanical drums and the backing vocals entering throughout the verses and hook, great guitar lines under the mix and enjoyable vocals throughout. Stepping Stone might be my fav track on the whole record, incredible backing track, smooth piano lines, those smothering drums and love that little marimba (?), very haunting atmosphere. Incredible hook and harmonies on this wow. the Timbre of her voice is great throughout the record. Only track I didn't care for was I'm Scared but it could grow on me just felt a bit bland compared to tracks like Stepping Stone, Rockferry, Syrup & Honey. The closing track does remind me a lot of Adele though, love the lyrics and vocal performance on it, very early 60s, Ronnettes/Crystals/Spector esque oh and the sax >>>>

Off 1 listen only this was a solid 7.5/10 but I need to let it ferment and see how it sits several listens in . didn't expect to enjoy it

And I would definitely recommend it. It was a very interesting look at a festival that was the antithesis for what Woodstock represented.
